| Introducing Garcia’s Chicago – a brand-new, intimate 300-capacity venue and restaurant celebrating Jerry Garcia’s extraordinary legacy, right in the heart of the West Loop—one of Chicago’s hottest neighborhoods. Opening in March 2025, this latest venture from Peter Shapiro and Dayglo Presents (Brooklyn Bowl, The Capitol Theatre, Bearsville Theater) in partnership with the Jerry Garcia Family honors Jerry’s eclectic artistry and deep connections to jazz, Americana, bluegrass, and world music. Dubbed “one of Chicago’s most anticipated openings of 2025” (Eater), Garcia’s isn’t just a venue—it’s a living tribute to an artist whose influence transcends generations. With world-class acoustics powered by Meyer Sound, a full multitrack recording and live-streaming setup, and a dynamic lineup curated in partnership with veteran Chicago promoter Michael Berg of Deep Cut, Garcia’s will showcase an array of legendary and emerging talent. The opening lineup is stacked, with Grahame Lesh & Friends featuring Daniel Donato and Nicki Bluhm (SOLD OUT), three nights of Preservation Hall Jazz Band, solo sets from phoffman and Dave Bruzza of Greensky Bluegrass, a sold-out intimate performance with Grace Potter, plus special shows with Brendan Bayliss of Umphrey’s McGee (Hartliss with Jen Hartswick & Shitty Limo with Jake Cinninger), Dave & Dave from Trampled by Turtles, LaMP (Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger & Ray Paczkowski), Benmont Tench, Blind Boys of Alabama, The Sam Grisman Project, Town Mountain, SUSTO, a three-weekend Dogs in a Pile residency, and much more! “Our father had envisioned a space where he could be off the road and close to home- a place he was going to call ‘Casa Garcia,'” said Trixie Garcia. “The idea was to create a live music club with a comfortable atmosphere for artists and guests.
