Spafford Cruised Through Carolinas for Summer Tour Round Two

July 22, 2025 – Spafford kicked off their Summer Tour Round 2 this past weekend with a high-energy string of shows across the Southeast, including stops in Raleigh, NC; Charlotte, NC; Roswell, GA; and Charleston, SC.  Highlights from the tour opener include the rare pairing of Violent Femmes “Kiss Off Reprise” and Spafford’s original heavy jam “The Reprise.” The double encore sent fans into a frenzy with its seamless transitions and exploratory improvisation.

In Charlotte on July 18, the band surprised the audience with a brand new cover of Billy Cobham’s “Stratus,” only played once before in it’s debut earlier this summer. The jazz-fusion classic was reimagined with the band’s signature groove and experimental style, marking it as a standout moment of the tour.

Spafford’s Summer Tour continues next week as the band heads to the Midwest for stops in Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, and Illinois. Fans can expect the same mix of deep jams, setlist surprises, and fresh improvisational territory as the band pushes deeper into their summer run.
